Combinatorial structures, integrable probability, and topological recursion

Simons Semester 2027
A five-week research program at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN), Warsaw, supported by the Simons Foundation.

17 May – 18 June 2027
IMPAN, Warsaw (weeks 1–4) · Mathematical Research and Conference Center, Będlewo (week 5)

The semester brings together researchers working at the interface of combinatorial structures, integrable probability, and topological recursion. These three rapidly developing areas share a deep web of connections — through random partitions and tableaux, exactly solvable models of statistical mechanics, random matrices, free probability, and the geometry of moduli spaces — and the program aims to bring their communities together for an extended period of joint work.

The program consists of an advanced school, a workshop, several weeks of collaborative research, and a summary conference in Będlewo. See the Program for details.
